Good Eats

If you are bored with your dinner routine, or lack thereof and want an easy, interesting dinner ready in less than 30 minutes, you should give a food delivery service a shot. There are several options out there with a lot of similarities: Blue Apron, Green Chef, Purple Oven (that last one is a joke). Seriously though, they share a lot in common. Here is some basic information about how it typically works.

The company sends you a box of pre-portioned meal ingredients, with recipes. The kits contain all the ingredients you need to cook a meal, for a predetermined number of people set by you (i.e. up to 2, 4 or 6). You can also select meat, fish or vegetarian options. The meal ingredients come ice-packed and vacuum sealed. You’d be surprised how long people said the stuff stayed fresh even if they couldn’t cook it that night.

You even get step, by step color photos that make the dishes foolproof, even for novice cooks. Truthfully, it is the perfect way to get started cooking if you are new to it. Making dinner this way is almost as easy as ordering it in (without the guilt).
